What we process
Account email if you register. Guest cookie for quota. File bytes you upload. Job metadata (size, MIME, status, timestamps). Consents. Support messages you send. We do not use filenames as analytics events.
Retention
FREE files expire in about one hour. Paid files about 24 hours. Temporary conversion artifacts last minutes. Expired objects are deleted from storage, not archived. There is no permanent backup of your files.
Purpose
Convert the file you asked for, enforce quotas, prevent abuse, bill if you subscribe, answer support. Legal bases to be confirmed with counsel (contract, legitimate interest for abuse prevention, consent for optional analytics and advertising).
Processors
Hosting, object storage (MinIO locally / R2 in production), email, Stripe when billing is enabled, optional AI providers only if you run an AI tool. Subprocessor list: pending.
Ads
Advertising scripts load only after Advertising consent and only if the Fileliq ads flag is on. FREE slots are placeholders until a publisher id exists.
